WHO I AM

I'm a CTE Technology educator with a broad classroom footprint — from middle school electives to high school CTE pathways. My teaching experience spans two levels and more than a dozen courses across technology, media, journalism, and the arts.

MIDDLE SCHOOL
Digital Media Principles of Art Audio/Video Technology & Communications Game Design Speech Journalism
HIGH SCHOOL — CTE
Game Programming & Design Mobile App Development Principles of Information Technology Fundamentals of Computer Science
ALWAYS IN THE ROOM
Digital Citizenship Digital Literacy

Lesson framework goes beyond the standard. Every instructional design decision I make is rooted in Social Emotional Learning, Higher Order Thinking, Purposeful Discussions, and Employability Skills — not as add-ons, but as core design principles embedded from the first bell to the last.

OPTION A
A
GAME BUILDER (W/ Educator Tutorial Layer)
A guided activity that walks students through algorithm design, flowcharting, pseudocode, and JavaScript game logic — all in one cohesive experience. Built for §126.38 Game Programming & Design.
  • Algorithm design & flowcharts
  • Pseudocode scaffolding
  • JavaScript implementation
  • TEKS §126.38 aligned
  • 504 accommodation ready

OPTION B
B
EXTENSION PUZZLES
Three challenge puzzles built for early finishers — fast, focused, and certificate-rewarded. Students earn digital certificates for each completed puzzle. Same core concepts as the Game Builder, different delivery.
  • 3 scaffolded challenge puzzles
  • Digital certificate reward system
  • Differentiation for early finishers
  • TEKS §126.38 aligned
  • Self-paced & student-driven

ORIGIN
BUILT FROM NECESSITY. POWERED BY CREATIVITY.

In a perfect world, educational software just works. In the real world, it often hits a wall of district network restrictions and installation constraints. After watching enough "silent failures" and firewall blocks, I realized that waiting for a work order was the enemy of a good lesson. My students were ready; the infrastructure wasn't.

To fix that, I built a web browser-based alternative. The Tech Lab requires zero installs and zero IT tickets. Because I own the code, I can pivot faster than a middle-schooler's mood. If a student spots a bug or suggests a better way to navigate a lab, I can often implement the fix during the five-minute passing period between classes.

The result is a curriculum framework that is more flexible, more accessible, and more responsive than any "off-the-shelf" platform. This agility hasn't just won over my students; it’s earned high marks from CTE facilitators for its real-world relevance and uptime.

I don't just troubleshoot tech; I troubleshoot the learning experience. That's not just a skill set. That's a mindset.

FRAMEWORK
TEKS · T-TESS · INSTRUCTIONAL FRAMEWORK

Every activity in the Tech Lab is built with standards defensibility as a non-negotiable. "We Will / I Will" framing statements appear in every lesson, objectives use measurable verbs, and TEKS language is verbatim and citable.

TEKS ALIGNMENT
  • §126.38 — Game Programming & Design
  • §130.302 — Principles of IT
  • §126.39 — Mobile App Development
  • §126.32 — Fundamentals of CS
  • Verbatim standard language in all objectives
  • Measurable verbs: analyze, implement, design, evaluate, test
DIFFERENTIATION
  • A. Built-in 504 accommodation panel
  • B. Teacher-toggled accessibility features
  • C. Extension tracks for early finishers
  • D. Scaffolded multi-level tasks
  • E. Student ID-based (no sensitive data)
  • F. Readable at all grade levels
CURRICULUM DESIGN
  • 100% custom-built materials
  • Single-file HTML — no install, no app required
  • Projector-ready & admin-walkthrough ready
  • Cross-platform: Windows, Mac, Chromebook
  • Inversion learning model (RAGE FACTORY)
  • IBC pathway connections where applicable
COMPLIANCE
BUILT WITH STUDENT PROTECTION IN MIND

The Tech Lab was designed from the ground up to comply with the legal frameworks that matter most to district leadership, campus administrators, and families. These aren't afterthoughts — they're built into the architecture.

504 / ADA
Teacher-panel accommodation toggles built into every activity. Font size, contrast, copy/paste, and display controls are instructor-accessible at all times.
FERPA
No student records, grades, or personally identifiable information are stored, transmitted, or exposed. Student data stays in the classroom.
COPPA
Age-gated tool use with 13+ awareness flagging. Activities use Student ID only — no email, no account creation required for core activities.
AI POLICY
AI integrations follow district-approved use policy. All AI-assisted features are teacher-controlled, transparent, logged, and aligned to responsible use guidelines.
